System Development Engineer, Customer Experience and Business Trends
Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is looking for a scale-focused and customer-obsessed System Development Engineer. CXBT is dedicated to deeply understanding and improving customer experience globally. We are a team of builders that develop products, services, ideas, and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings for almost every business at Amazon.
We are looking for talented System Development Engineers to develop optimized solutions to create high-quality data for identifying business trends. The position requires working directly with the Amazon product and customer insights managers to contribute from Ideation to Execution in a fast-paced manner. Responsibilities include:
1. Operational excellence through support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, covering multiple products, features, and services.
2. Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in Java, Python, AWS, and web technologies, setting up high coding standards to ensure quality delivery.
3. Software deployment support in staging and production environments.
4. Develop tools to automate and aid operations and maintenance.
5. System and Support status reporting. Propose, drive, and implement technical solutions for automation, efficiency, and scalability.
6. Work directly with Amazon product and customer insights managers to contribute from Ideation to Execution.
7. Collaborate with Software developers for handing-off or taking over active support issues, provide on-call support and technical consultation to Amazon internal customers, and develop automation scripts in Python and internal platforms similar to Selenium.
8. Innovate new ideas and implement them to continuously improve the coverage and quality of information.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
2. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
3. Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
4. Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
5. Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
2. Experience working in large-scale software development environment.
3. Experience in taking a project from scoping requirements through launch.
4. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
