Job Summary
We are seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to lead our Operational Excellence program and drive continuous improvement in our operations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
The Role
As the Operational Excellence Manager, you will have full responsibility for the leadership of the program and all aspects of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the Operational Excellence program, including the annual cost reduction project (IMPACT), to deliver planned year-on-year savings.
* Fostering cross-functional teamwork to exceed Operational Excellence targets.
* Developing and implementing lean operations principles and practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Providing training, coaching, and mentoring to employees to enhance their skills and behaviors.
* Promoting the Operational Excellence program across the company and providing updates and reports to the wider organization.
* Ensuring compliance with QMS, OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems, and other regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the EHS and Energy Management systems.
* Ensure compliance with all Quality Management System requirements.
* Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Operations Excellence.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or related field.
* Qualification in Lean Operations (MSc, Black Belt or equivalent).
* Minimum ten years of progressive experience with medical device manufacturing in an engineering and production environment.
* Five or more years in a leadership position leading the implementation of operations excellence.
* Successful experience leading and developing cross-functional teams and organizational talent.
* Experience in a metric-driven culture.
* Thorough knowledge of lean operations principles and practices.
* Ability to work with limited supervision and lead a cross-functional team.
* Ability to travel as required (20%).
