Job Title: CPC-14 Chief Risk Officer
About the Role:
The Ireland Risk Management function is part of the independent Corporate Risk Management organisation. This role will oversee, assess, and advise on risk management including service delivery, board and/or risk committee representation and reporting, implementation of the risk management framework, significant change activity, material incident management, and facilitate embedding a risk management culture.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services Ireland Limited (NTIFASIL) Risk Management Framework to assist with the identification and assessment of risks and establish risk limits in accordance with the global risk organization.
- Ensure local risk management policies, processes, procedures, and systems are in place and operating effectively through management and leadership.
- Provide thought leadership, consultation, and participation in business decisions with peers and senior management as a PCF-14 Chief Risk Officer.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Strategy: Implement NTIFASIL risk management practices, including the risk management framework.
- Governance & Oversight: Coordinate and document risk management in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies in line with the NTIFASIL business models.
- Regulatory Responsibilities: Abide by all regulatory requirements, including the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity expectations.
- Culture: Promote Northern Trust's corporate values of Service, Integrity, and Expertise and act as a role model demonstrating behaviours aligned to the Conduct framework.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Risk Management knowledge with a thorough understanding of challenges faced by senior management in a heavily regulated environment.
- Strong background in risk frameworks, governance, reporting, and oversight, including presenting to and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership and organizational skills to direct relevant activities for NTIFASIL.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and analytical skills to develop/review framework elements and procedures.
