Job Description
About the Role
As an EAL Teacher, you will provide targeted English language support to primary students who need additional assistance to learn effectively in English. Your role includes:
1. Delivering one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to student needs.
2. Developing engaging lesson plans and assessments that support language acquisition.
3. Collaborating with teachers to integrate EAL support into the curriculum.
4. Using technology and innovative strategies to enhance learning.
5. Encouraging a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Required Skills/Abilities
What We’re Looking For
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, plus a recognized English language teaching qualification (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
2. Experience teaching primary-aged students, preferably in an international or IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) setting.
3. Strong understanding of language development and differentiation in the classroom.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. A passion for teaching, adaptability, and commitment to professional growth.
