Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen and act up as required in their absence.
* Champion our food offering on campus and deliver food services for patient feeding and the restaurant.
* Understand IDDSI and ensure the safe production of all special diets for patient feeding services.
* Follow the Catering Hygiene Policy guidelines and Aramark's dress code policy, maintaining a clean uniform and hygienic appearance.
* Assist the Head Chef in training and developing Commis Chefs and aiding other kitchen staff as directed.
* Observe Aramark & the hospital's confidentiality policy.
* Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure all necessary information is recorded accurately.
* Ensure correct stock rotation procedures are followed using the FIFO rule.
* Observe infection control and HACCP policies in food handling, wearing gloves and proper protective equipment.
* Adhere to the prescribed dress code and wear safety and hygiene clothing and equipment as required.
* Know and follow fire and disaster plans, report injuries, and adhere to lifting techniques and MSDS policies.
* Ensure correct manual handling procedures are followed when lifting or moving items.
* Observe the correct use and care of equipment, reporting any defects properly.
* Cooperate fully and participate in all health and safety training programs.
* Comply with all Aramark & Hospital policies and procedures.
* Possess requisite working experience and culinary expertise, demonstrating creativity.
* Ability to multi-task and handle multiple roles, with a good understanding of all kitchen sections.
* Exhibit good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Participate in training and development programs as required.
* Engage with and maintain ISO standards within the Production Kitchen and stores.
* Follow reasonable requests from the Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Sous Chef.

You Must Have:
* Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced catering business.
* An interest in people and a drive to deliver exceptional service.
* A strong background in food production.
* Knowledge of Food Hygiene, including HACCP.
* A problem-solving mindset and a flexible can-do attitude.
