Job Purpose
The role of the Public Affairs Officer is to provide support to the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns, The Public Affairs Team and the wider CPAF Team. The main focus of the role will be in the areas of administrative support, research, compiling submissions, and lobbying.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research (qualitative and quantitative) in order to assist the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns to write position papers in support of Rehab Group public affairs and Advocacy objectives
* Assist in compiling submissions to Government departments and agencies of relevance to the objectives of the Rehab Group
* Research and scan the media and policy environment for developments of relevance to organisational objectives and alert Head of Advocacy and Campaigns as appropriate
* Under the guidance of the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns, coordinate and execute lobbying and campaigning events.
Additional Requirements
1. Liaise with elected representatives at local and national level in pursuance of organisational objectives and specific campaigns
2. Act as a first point of contact for enquiries and respond to or refer enquiries as appropriate.
3. Collaborate with Communications and Public Affairs Department in the execution of our Strategic Priority
