Orange Recruitment is seeking an experienced Staff Grade Psychologist to join an organisation specialising in rehabilitation services.
The post holder will deliver services in interdisciplinary teams across in-patient, day patient and out-patient services.

Key duties:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients referred for rehabilitation.
Use appropriate tools and methods to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functions.
Evaluate the impact of injury, illness, or disability on psychological well-being and daily living.
Provide evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy) for patients coping with physical injuries, neurological conditions, or psychiatric symptoms.
Design and implement individual or group therapy sessions tailored to patient needs.
Assist patients in adjusting to new physical abilities, managing chronic pain, or coping with the emotional aspects of rehabilitation.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute psychological insights into treatment plans.
Provide psychological input into case management, including discharge planning.
Offer support and counseling to families and caregivers, helping them understand the psychological impact of the patient's condition.
Assist in the development and delivery of in-service training for staff on psychological issues related to rehabilitation.
Participate in clinical research activities, including the evaluation of psychological services within the rehabilitation hospital.
Contribute to audits and service evaluation projects to improve patient care and service delivery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Prepare reports and documentation for referrals, case conferences, and patient progress.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in rehabilitation psychology and engage in ongoing professional development.
Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
A recognised University Degree or Diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject A recognised postgraduate professional psychological qualification appropriate to the area of professional psychology in which the position is designated.
Possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Research acumen and experience of using a range of research methodologies.
