The Financial Accountant (Controllership Specialist) will form part of the Statutory Reporting Team and will partner with the United States (US) business to manage the statutory financial statement preparation for internal Accenture entities.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of the annual consolidated and standalone statutory financial statements for the US group of companies in line with established deadlines.
* Preparation of supporting schedules and working papers for the annual statutory audit.
* Preparation of reconciliations between the US GAAP management and statutory ledgers.
* Review and analysis of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
* Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records.
* Preparation of accounting treatment memorandums.
* Liaising with auditors, answering queries and providing data as needed.
* Perform internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
* Involved in the accounting for acquisitions and liquidations.
* Provide accounting support to the Team Manager including responses to ad hoc requests.
* Meet key reporting deadlines.
* Participate in continuous quality improvement projects.
* Provide reporting to management on issues, statistics, metrics and projects.

* Prior experience of SAP an advantage.
* Fluency in English is required.
Qualifications/Experience
* Professional accountancy qualification e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, AAIA
* Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
* 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
