Junior E&I and Automation Engineer Role
The Junior E&I and Automation Engineer will work on projects to assist in their implementation from both an E&I and Automation perspective. The incumbent will also assist in day-to-day process automation and gain in-depth knowledge of all plant operations and control systems.
* Troubleshooting of site automation (DCS) DeltaV and other control systems as well as E&I issues.
* Work closely with external engineering companies, site production, engineering personnel, and departmental technology units under the guidance of the site E&I and Automation Engineer.
* Liaise with technical experts from other BASF sites, especially our headquarters in Ludwigshafen (Germany), to fulfill and share the technical standards and safety requirements.
* Commit to the transfer of knowledge and sharing of best practices and policies with other site team members as deemed appropriate.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A Trade qualification in E&I or Electrical is beneficial and/or 3rd level qualification in electrical/instrumentation/automation.
* Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS) DeltaV.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, reviewing and/or compiling electrical CAD drawings, developing scopes, I/O lists, PIDs, etc.
* Prefer experience in a manufacturing background.
* ATEX experience advantageous.
* Be an effective communicator who can work independently or as part of a team to ensure goals and targets are achieved.
