An exciting chance has arisen for a Junior Helpdesk Technician to join our award-winning team in Galway.
This is an entry-level or IT graduate position, fully on-site in Galway.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business's technical function.

Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets, assisting end-users and resolving their IT issues.
* Manage daily bug-fixing tasks, documentation, and communication.
* Follow up with end-users to ensure issues are fully resolved.
* D diagnose and reveal underlying causes of related issues.
* E escalate complex issues and learn from solutions.
* Install, modify, and repair hardware and software.
* Assist in maintaining accurate system documentation.
* Log, triage, and resolve user issues across Windows operating systems, software, and hardware.
* This is a hands-on role, providing on-site hardware and software assistance to end-users.
* The successful candidate will work closely with external IT partners, who manage servers and infrastructure, and provide L2/L3 escalation and assistance.
* They will have opportunities to gain experience and grow into other IT administration tasks, such as servers, AV, backups, licensing, VMs, O365, and cloud solutions.
Required Skills:
* IT degree or equivalent professional certification is desirable.
* Experience, aptitude, and proficiency with Windows computers.
* Attention to detail to record relevant ticket documentation.
* Able to organize, assess, and correctly prioritize helpdesk tickets.
* Able to diagnose and resolve computer technical issues.
* Good awareness of C.I.A. in Information Security.
* Confidence to identify potential system weaknesses and suggest alternatives.
* Willingness to learn and improve.
