Key Responsibilities
As a Claims handler you will be expected to…
1. deliver excellent standards of customer service through high quality and efficient handling of policyholders claims.
2. Registration, handling and settlement of household and commercial property damage claims and personal accident claims.
3. Accurate and comprehensive recording of all transactions and decisions
4. Compliance with company quality standards
5. Compliance with financial services authority requirements for claims handling
6. Achievement of agreed targets in relation to settlement rate, calls answered and completions
7. Liaising with others to obtain and deliver information that is critical to service and control of claims costs
8. Be aware of fraud indicators to identify potential fraud cases and escalate them to the relevant personnel in our Fraud Investigation Unit (FIU)
9. Ensure the recovery procedure is adhered to on any property recovery/potential recovery case.
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
Essential Criteria
10. Minimum 2 years' experience in Insurance Claims handling or Underwriting
11. Studying towards an APA, CIP or a relevant insurance qualification to meet MCC requirements*
12. Skilled communicator & negotiator, with ability to work on initiative and manage own time effectively
