Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, ICN - DCEO
Amazon Web Services Korea is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team.
This team is responsible for maintaining the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services. Specifically, they work to ensure the data center's MEP operates at 100% availability while providing first-class customer service to teams and groups within the data centers.
The Data Center Engineering Operations team is accountable for ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating within contract parameters in third-party Colocation facilities.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.
* Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure work performed aligns with established practices and procedures.
* Manage relationships with third-party Colocation providers and their facility staff.
* Operate and manage routine and emergency services on various critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
* Assist in data center capacity planning and reporting.
* May assist in designing and building out new facilities.
* May contribute to projects increasing current Facility efficiency.
* Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
* Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.
* Procure DCEO-related expenditure.
* Manage asset and inventory.
About the Team:
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment ensuring continuous access to innovation relied upon by customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* At least four years of experience in Data Center or mission-critical systems engineering, commissioning, operations, and/or on-call support.
* An undergraduate/bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering).
* Business level of English with fluent Korean.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* An excellent understanding of Electrical systems in critical Data Center operations.
* An excellent understanding of Mechanical systems in critical Data Center operations.
* Appropriate Security and Safety awareness.
* Datacenter Project Management Experience.
* Datacenter or Engineering related certificates; CDCP, CDCS, ATS, ATD, P.E, PMP, LEED, and others.
