We have an opportunity for a Social Media Specialist to join our team. As Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow our audience and build brand awareness. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the targeted audience for each social channel, creating persuasive content that strikes a chord with the intended audience, and unique to the typical interactions of each channel.
The main responsibilities include (not limited to):
1. Develop, implement and manage the social media strategy
2. Execute and manage multiple social media campaigns across channels to grow awareness and build community through meaningful engagement
3. Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
4. Ensure that all content is targeted appropriately, and budget managed effectively to deliver the greatest cost efficiencies
5. Track performance and benchmark and report on same
6. Suggest and implement new campaigns to develop brand awareness and improve social media performance
7. Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
8. Setup and optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
9. Monitor customer engagement and respond to customers in a social way and use insights gleaned to further input into social strategy and activations
10. Support other projects/work as required in store
The successful candidate will have / be:
1. Expert knowledge of social media channels and formats and Facebook Business Manager
2. Deep understanding and passion for social media and social trends and attentive to customer trends and interests on social
3. Innovative and creative with a "can do" attitude. Imagines creative solutions that generate results and promotes team creativity
4. Excellent attention to detail and copywriting skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results
6. Ability to generate reports and extract meaningful learnings from same
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills
8. Ability to identify trends and customers' needs and translate into engaging content
9. Customer service focus and passion to ensure all customer interaction on social channels is best in class
