Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead our team in ensuring a major project meets environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the environmental management of a major Civil Engineering project.
* Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMPs).
* Ensure compliance with Irish environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
* Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk assessments.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure environmental requirements are met.
* Monitor and report on environmental performance, including site inspections and audits.
* Implement sustainable practices and promote environmental awareness across the project team.
* Manage waste, water, and energy resources effectively to minimize environmental impact.
* Lead environmental incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
* Provide environmental training and guidance to project staff.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on airfield and industrial projects.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.
* Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Proficient in environmental management systems (EMS) and related software tools.
* Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
