Job Overview
The primary function of the Sales Advisor is to deliver sales of Personal Lines, Agri, and Commercial Business. The role will involve assisting in the overall running of the Sales Office to deliver a superior and efficient customer care service that produces agreed sales results while enhancing the local FBD Brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver individual sales targets through prospecting, up selling, and cross selling of Personal Lines/Commercial/Agri business.
2. Handle customer queries and escalate unresolved or technical issues to relevant personnel.
3. Maintain compliance with company systems and procedures.
4. Stay up-to-date with knowledge of commercial product range and industry qualifications.
5. Work flexibly within the Sales Office and participate in office tasks, including visiting local markets.
6. Provide relief to other Sales Offices in the region as required.
7. Foster mutually beneficial relationships with FBD Life and Pension Financial Advisors to enhance overall customer service delivery.
8. Contribute to account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
9. Pursue renewal follow-ups and identify opportunities for cover/rate improvements.
10. Support customers at the initial notification of claims stage.
11. Take responsibility for outstanding debit/premium collections.
Additional Duties
1. Provide dedicated support to Sales Executives/Branch Managers as directed.
2. Administer Personal Lines/Commercial/Agri business as required.
3. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
1. Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification, and/or a relevant third-level degree.
2. Desirable: Qualified Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) or Grandfathered Accreditation; assistance will be provided to obtain this qualification within Central Bank of Ireland timeframes.
Experience
1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
2. Previous insurance/financial services experience is advantageous.
3. Sales/customer service background.
4. Proactive approach with a positive attitude.
5. Customer-focused mindset.
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills.

This is a permanent position, classified within Pay Band A of FBD's Sales Functions Pay band.
