Your key responsibilities
* Oversee and guide the development team to ensure the architectural vision is maintained.
* Collaborate with near- and offshore technical teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
* Work with clinical teams, administrators, and healthcare professionals to address health-specific software requirements.
* Evaluate and select software development technologies, tools, and platforms.
* Identify software requirements and design architectural blueprints for the development team.
* Communicate requirements with stakeholders like project managers, scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, developers, and infrastructure or security architects.
Skills and attributes for success
* Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills.
* Proficiency in the local language of your country of residence is required.
* Fluency in English and German (written and verbal) is a pre-requisite.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to work under tight timelines for multiple project deliveries in parallel.
* Ability/flexibility to travel.
To qualify for the role, you must have
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, (Software) Engineering or other related field with strong IT focus. Master's or further certification are advantageous.
* Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably 2 years in a healthcare context with a focus on designing and implementing custom applications on native mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
* Deep understanding of mobile application development and the frameworks of Android and iOS.
* Understanding of software architectures across all layers – network, infrastructure, security, persistence, application, and frontend.
* Experience in writing technical concepts, database design, and data modeling.
* Experience with CI/CD tech stacks, e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.
* Experience in designing architectures in healthcare system landscapes and ensuring interoperability between healthcare-specific data formats.
* Good knowledge of the German healthcare system landscapes.
