Assistant Director of Nursing Opportunity
Cpl Healthcare is seeking an experienced registered nurse to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing in a North Cork nursing home.
This large nursing home, with 150 residents, requires a dedicated professional to lead the nursing team in delivering Person-Centred care. The successful candidate will play a central role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.
The ADON will be responsible for leading the nursing team, planning and allocation of nursing teams, and ensuring appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience meet clinical demands and continuity of care.
This is a 4-day week role working 8am to 6pm daily, offering a competitive remuneration package reflective of the successful candidate's previous experience.
Key Requirements:
* A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* A minimum of three years post-registration nursing experience in the past 6 years in Care of the Elderly.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area.
* A management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable but not essential.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Ability to manage one's own workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
* Embracing change and committed to continuous improvement and learning throughout the nursing home.
* Availability to work flexible hours when required.
* Utilising excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence others, build constructive relationships and achieve outcomes.
* Promoting an ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Director of Nursing.
* Proven track record in team management and performance management.
