Statkraft is looking for a strong project procurement manager who has exceptional commercial, analytical and interpersonal skills and is committed to adding value and supporting our growth ambitions within renewable power in Europe. The role will involve some or all of the following technology areas: Onshore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage and Grid Stability in the UK and/or Ireland. Job Description
The role of a Project Procurement Manager is the procurement and contract management of equipment and construction services for projects in all technologies, at every stage of their lifecycle, and shall manage the overall coordination, procurement planning and execution of the major contracts. During contract execution, the Project Procurement Manager will deal with any contractual matters and secure efficient execution of activities. The Project Procurement Manager will be responsible for the interface internally and externally for all aspects of project procurement in the UK and Ireland.
1. You will be in charge of large and complex procurement processes for renewable construction projects. You will be responsible for all phases of contracting from market analysis, supplier prequalification, supply chain sustainability assessment, contracting strategy writing, the tendering process, contract negotiations, contract execution, contract administration and close out.
2. Utilise Statkraft’s technical knowledge and commercial leverage from the various regions to ensure the best commercial agreements possible can be reached.
3. Negotiate best possible commercial and legal terms with identified suppliers, with respect to the contracting priorities driven by each project’s financial model.
4. You must be committed to protect Statkraft’s high standards within business ethics, health, safety and the environment and to prevent corruption.
5. Ensure that profitability (in terms of project IRR/LCOE) is maximized whilst considering any corporate social responsibility impacts of the company’s procurement decisions.
6. Monitor service levels maintained by suppliers and quality of goods in line with relevant industry standards.
7. Effective and efficient contract management and order fulfillment.
8. Attend and facilitate project meetings to ensure projects have the right operational support and inputs at the right time.
Qualifications
1. Degree in business and/or technical areas
2. Fluent in English.
3. Experience of using procurement platforms (ideally Jaggaer).
4. Procurement and contract experience in large/complex multi-million pound packages ideally within the energy sector.
5. Experience in large/complex/capital sourcing processes from RFI to contract execution including negotiating and contract drafting.
6. Contractual experience in post-award contract management including variation order, amendments and claims management.
7. Knowledge of contractors for the relevant markets.
