Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our technology support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line support for our corporate technology needs, both on-site and for remote locations. Your expertise will ensure that our employees receive prompt and effective assistance with all technology-related requests and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver IT support services to users, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
* Build, configure, and install corporate devices for end-user consumption.
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and process vendor orders while considering lead times and demand forecasts.
* Adhere to system procedures in accordance with BNYM standards, including Legal Hold and Asset Management.
* Ensure stability and continuity within the technical environment, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
* Manage the configuration and functionality of shared IT services within the office.
* Assist with departmental relocations or reconfigurations as necessary.
* Respond to escalations and handle them appropriately.
* Implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans to minimise business impact.
* Provide hands-on support for infrastructure and application projects when required.
* Collaborate with other locations to resolve technical faults.
* Build strong working relationships with business units to understand their technical needs.
* Educate end users on new and existing IT service offerings.
* Maintain clear and updated documentation of system procedures.
* Suggest and implement improvements to operational procedures and support technologies.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Customer-focused with extensive customer-facing experience.
* High-level technical support experience in a complex environment.
* In-depth knowledge of M365, including Teams, OneDrive, and InTune.
* Experience with remote administration tools and device imaging/re-imaging.
* Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
* Experience supporting a Citrix environment.
* Familiarity with ITIL practises.
* Experience in multi-domain environments.
* Basic management of MCR/SCR (cabling, patching, maintenance).
* Knowledge of Asset Management Lifecycle.
* LAN, WAN, and MAN troubleshooting skills.
* BCP/Disaster Recovery provisioning experience.
* Virtual Desktop configuration and maintenance.
