Trinity Care Group, a leading provider of nursing home care with 12 facilities, is seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business achieves value for money, cost savings, and operational efficiency in procurement practices. This role will be instrumental in transitioning supplier management to a centralised approach, negotiating competitive contracts, and implementing cost control measures while maintaining high-quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRelationship ManagementTransition supplier relationships from the Directors of Nursing (DONs) in each home to a centralised procurement function.Develop and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships to drive value through improved terms and enhanced performance management.Ensure suppliers align with Trinity Care Group's standards and compliance requirements.Supplier Consolidation & Contract NegotiationFacilitate the consolidation of key suppliers to streamline procurement processes and maximise cost efficiencies.Lead pricing negotiations and tendering on a consolidated basis to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.Manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and continuous evaluation of supplier performance.Budgeting & Cost ControlOversee and manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring effective control of the €10.6 million annual expenditure on purchases and personnel supplier costs.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.Implement the "Swap & Save" food cost initiative to optimise food procurement.Develop and maintain a monthly approved provider list for food suppliers.Manage an annual capital expenditure (Cap Ex) budget of €1.3 million, ensuring strategic allocation of resources.Process ImprovementsIdentify areas of the procurement process that can be streamlined for increased efficiency.Assess and potentially implement an invoice approval and purchase order (PO) system to enhance financial control and accuracy.Work closely with internal stakeholders to refine and standardise procurement policies and procedures.Enhanced Reporting & AnalysisOrganise supplier-provided data on the usage of consumables by resident, by day, and by home to enhance procurement efficiency.Consolidate and report on procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and cost savings.Provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement in procurement and supplier management.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 4/5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within healthcare or a similar industry.Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost-saving initiatives.Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, reporting, and process improvement.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience with procurement software and financial systems is an advantage.What We OfferA dynamic and collaborative work environment.The opportunity to make a significant impact on the operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Trinity Care Group.Competitive salary and benefits package.If you are a results-driven procurement professional looking for a rewarding challenge in a growing healthcare organisation, we encourage you to apply.
