This exciting opportunity allows you to gain valuable industry experience in a dynamic environment as part of our North Dublin site team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
You will report to the Director of Technical and work closely with the Site Manager, playing a pivotal role in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g. BRCGS, ISO), continuously improving food safety systems.
* Act as the key liaison for regulatory bodies (BRC, FSAI, DAFM) to ensure legal compliance.
* Lead internal and external audits, ensuring the site is fully prepared for regulatory and customer inspections.
* Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the site's HACCP plan.
* Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of preventive measures.
* Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated documentation.
* Supervise quality control equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance.
* Analyse and report on data for validations and performance metrics.
* Investigate and resolve product complaints, recalls, and quality incidents.
* Ensure robust traceability systems are in place for effective incident management.
* Work closely with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to uphold product quality and operational efficiency.
* Provide technical expertise and compliance support for New Product Development (NPD).
* Lead, mentor, and support the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and food safety awareness.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with:
* Proven experience in a Technical or Quality Management role within the Food Manufacturing industry.
* Experience in meat manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
* Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive standards.
