Chartered Physiotherapist in Private Practice
Company Description
Established in 2013 by Clinic Director Ruth Allen as Kerry Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre, we have seen ourselves evolve dramatically over the last 4 years. In 2022, Kerry Physiotherapy Centre expanded its scope to include a second clinic in Macroom, Co. Cork, and in July 2023, we rebranded to Balance Twenty One when we moved to a new modern and purpose-built facility in Killarney that now includes four private treatment rooms, a Reformer Pilates studio, a Yoga and Mat Pilates studio, and a rehab gym. Our Macroom clinic also includes two private treatment rooms and a Mat Pilates and Yoga studio.
The strong team of seven that work across both locations includes three chartered physiotherapists, one Sports Rehabilitation expert, one massage therapist, and two administration staff that have extensive experience and expertise in a wide range of clinical areas, most specifically musculoskeletal issues, sporting-related injuries, chronic pain, and women’s health.
We pride ourselves on using only world-leading, high-quality equipment and real-time quantitative research-based data to bring our service users from injury to full health. We are the only clinic in Kerry, and one of a handful in Munster, that use the world-renowned VALD performance testing and injury assessment equipment, and we were also the first clinic in Kerry to pioneer the use of shockwave therapy, which we have been using successfully since 2014.
Our holistic approach to treatment includes conventional tried and tested manual therapy, dry needling, and all our team are fully trained in Mat & Reformer Pilates and Yoga, further focusing on our goal of preventing re-injury through rehabilitation and exercise.
