The Royal Hospital Donnybrook is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neuro Rehabilitation to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in Neuro-Rehabilitation, working closely with consultants, nursing teams, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate the service for patients with varying neurological presentations and needs.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Providing high-quality, evidence-based patient-focused nursing services in designated clinical areas, including assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care;
Leading and managing service improvement and development, including policy development and implementation;
Developing and implementing clinical evidence-based practice, research, and audit;
Providing expert guidance and consultation to other nurses, students, and healthcare professionals through education, supervision, and training;
Eligibility criteria for this position include:
A registered nurse in the General Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais and Cnimhseachais na hireann (NMBI) or eligibility to be so registered;
A minimum of 1 year post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made;
A minimum of 1 year experience or an aggregate of 1 year full-time experience in specialist area of Neuro-Rehabilitation, including Neuro-Rehabilitation service provision;
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A POST-REGISTRATION PROGRAMME OF STUDY CERTIFIED BY THE EDUCATION PROVIDER WHICH VERIFIES THAT THE APPLICANT HAS ACHIEVED A QUALITY AND QUALIFICATIONS IRELAND (QQI), NATIONAL FRAMEWORK OF QUALIFICATIONS (NFQ) MAJOR ACADEMIC LEVEL 9 OR HIGHER AWARD THAT IS RELEVANT TO THE SPECIALIST AREA OF CARE;
Continuing professional development relevant to the specialist area.
