Senior Project Editor - Educational Publishing
This is an exciting and varied position, offering the opportunity to develop within a dynamic, growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage author relationships and own workload efficiently and skilfully.
2. Liaise with designers, proofreaders, illustrators, copyeditors, subject matter experts, and junior members of staff associated with projects.
3. Work on high-quality, highly designed titles complete with complex illustrations and diagrams.
4. Provide frequent updates on progress, identify risks, and suggest solutions.
Requirements:
1. Proven editorial experience within publishing, ideally within educational publishing.
2. Strong editorial skills with the ability to recognise and develop clear, concise, well-written, and grammatically correct material.
3. Solid project management experience within an editorial environment.
4. Strong organisational skills and proven ability to multi-task.
5. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team.
6. Interest in design, digital learning experiences, and multimedia, as well as interest in education.
7. Excellent IT skills (particularly MS Office and Word).
Working Arrangements:
This role offers flexible working, currently 2 days a week in the Dublin office and three from home.
