Eligibility
Kildare County is seeking to establish a panel of Healthy Ireland Coordinator to fill temporary posts that arise during the life of the panel.
Education, Training and Experience etc.:
Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:
1. A relevant third level qualification, in the area of health promotion or in a related area e.g., education, community development, public health, social care.
2. Relevant professional experience working in a management/coordination role in community, local development or health promotion sectors.
3. A background and prior work experience in community development, health promotion, social sciences or in other fields where social relationships are of utmost importance.
4. A good understanding of the social determinants of health across the community, voluntary and statutory sector.
5. An understanding and experience of working in socially disadvantaged communities, socially excluded groups and of health and wellbeing/health promotion strategies.
6. Experience of networking, representing and working collaboratively across statutory, community/voluntary and volunteer led organisations.
7. Experience supporting organisations to deliver actions, outputs and outcomes.
Driving Licence
Applicants should at the date of appointment hold a full valid Irish /EU licence, for Class B vehicles. They must be a competent driver and shall drive a car in the course of their duties and for this purpose provide and maintain a car to the satisfaction of the local authority. The council must be indemnified on their insurance.
