Lets Go Summer Schools Ltd. seek to appoint a trainee/assistant Logistics Manager to join our growing team.

Lets Go Summer Schools has been Ireland's leading provider of multi activity summer camps for more than 35 years. Over this time, we have established a tradition of excellence through our enthusiastic team that are passionate about delivering the best camp experience for children of all abilities.
Over our 35+ years, we have gained invaluable experience in the design and implementation of summer camp programmes. We are constantly changing and adapting our programme to meet the needs of all our campers and their parents. We combine structured educational sessions within the fun and games synonymous with summer camp. Let’s Go! Summer Schools operate multi activity sports camps in towns nationwide during the months of July and August for children aged between 5 and 12 years.
We also run Easter camps during March/April and a busy schedule of school tour events through May and June at venues nationwide. In recent times, we have also branched into the provision of corporate events.

Job Purpose:
Your role will be to assist and oversee our logistics function to ensure the smooth delivery, start-up and running of all events. We will look to you to make sure our business and its customers enjoy effective and consistent delivery of service behind the scenes and in person.
Role Responsibilities:
* Assist our logistics team in the planning and delivery of all events.
* Oversee and manage warehouse operations at our base in Watrefall, Co. Cork.
* Prepare packing lists and oversee physical loading, delivery and set up of equipment at multiple locations nationwide.
* Manage/Assist in the management of our team of drivers. Foresee any problems that may arise and take necessary action to ensure smooth operating function for all team members.
* Manage/assist in the management of vehicle fleet. Organise hire, maintenance, fuel etc.
* Develop and nurture working relationships with existing seasonal staff and identify/fill any staff vacancies.
* Arrange rosters and schedules for other team members. Communicate same to staff and overcome any shortcomings that may appear.
* Assist sales team with marketing, advertising along with over the phone and in-person sales.
* General administration tasks.
Job Requirements:
In order to successfully respond to the challenges of this role, the ideal candidate should exhibit the following characteristics and experience:
* Have knowledge of basic logistics and equipment/stock management.
* A high level of attention to detail.
* Must be highly versatile and flexible.
* Experience in leading, inspiring and motivating team members in a logistics environment is an advantage.
* Ability to communicate well with and manage other team members in a demanding environment.
* Strong team player, highly energetic and self-motivated.
* A desire to take ownership of tasks and see them through to delivery.
* A willingness to work with children is necessary within this environment.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
* Once appointed, the new hire must undergo Garda Vetting by National Vetting Bureau (NVB).
* A relevant qualification in Logistics is an advantage.
* A relevant qualification in Education is an advantage.
* Experience in a leadership/management role is advantageous.
* Experience in a sales role is an advantage.
