Mechanical Quality Control Inspector Sligo €50/75,000 Role Purpose: As the Mechanical Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise with quality control deliverables and project conformance requirements by planning and collaborating with project teams to deliver first of kinds, system walkdowns and achieve system turnover.
Mechanical Quality Control Inspector responsibilities Lead by example in the areas of ethics, EHS, cultural sensitivity, diversity, teamwork, quality culture and behaviors.
Comply with all Project EHS requirements i.e.
PPE, work Permits, procedures, etc.
Where required, support the development of project specific method statements.
Establish close working relationships with cross functional departments (Planning, Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, EHS, etc.)
including supply chain and client stakeholders.
Coordinate & lead inspectors to open work fronts and support resolution of issues in line with system handover dates.
Review construction methodology for offsite manufacturing (OSM) capabilities and implement offsite and onsite inspections.
Review benchmark / first of kind schedule and ensure completion of benchmarks.
Facilitate client & EoR approval.
Tracking issues/ snags and driving closeout with project team ensure data integrity maintained.
Implement Walkdown planning and 2-week lookaheads in line with program dates Perform Quality Inspections and W1/W2/W3 walkdowns in accordance with approved ITP and standard procedure.
Documenting all inspection and test records on BIM 360 / ACC build with required sign off and acceptance by stakeholders.
Update and maintain Inspection Schedule and notify all parties of any changes in format or schedule of planned inspections.
Observe, document, and report all findings/ snags on inspections and communicate with package owner / supply chain subcontractor.
Attend daily whiteboard meetings highlighting any findings or trends which need improvement to deliver right first-time installations.
Verify installation conformance against approved IFC drawings, technical submittals, and specifications.
Attend receipt verification inspections and document compliance with approved materials and/or over, shortage or damage.
Monitor conformance of works in progress and engage with workforce on areas of improvement.
Promote a positive quality culture onsite.
Check supporting calibration certificate is available for test and measuring activities.
Facilitating onsite and offsite inspections with project stakeholders during W1/ W2/W3 walkdowns Tracking issues and following up on resolution within due date Encourage progressive compilation of lessons learned during project execution.
Necessary Requirements of The Mechanical Quality Inspector Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent Mechanical trade qualification 5 years Quality experience in an Engineering & Construction Environment Knowledge of relevant industry standards applicable to the contract scope of works Ability to lead root cause analysis techniques and implement corrective actions ISO9001 auditor certification and experience.
