About the Role:
We are currently recruiting a Customer Support Advisor to provide IT support and advice to students in Maynooth University.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students with IT-related queries, ensuring that all customer queries are addressed within the IT Service Management system, and following standard procedures and escalation processes as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist students with IT-related queries
* Ensure all customer queries are addressed within the IT Service Management system
* Follow and adhere to SD processes and procedures
* Assist in the operation of the IT Services Service Desk
* First-level troubleshooting of standard applications used by the University
* First-level troubleshooting of devices
* First-level troubleshooting of internet or WiFi connections
* Maintain multifunction printing devices' consumables
* First-level troubleshooting of multifunction printing devices
* Attend training sessions and meetings as required
* Observe and comply with Health and Safety regulations
Requirements:
* Flexibility: candidates need to be flexible to work a variety of shifts and undertake a variety of duties
* Excellent customer care: candidates would be working in a user-focused IT computer environment and need to enjoy helping and supporting users
* Teamwork: candidates would be working as part of a wider Computing Assistant and IT Services team and need to demonstrate their capability to do this
* IT experience: it is important to have a good working knowledge and experience of a wide range of standard applications used by students (e.g., Microsoft Office, Web browsers, Adobe Reader etc.), as well as knowledge of printing and scanning and internet & WIFI
