Our client, a leading provider of network build and maintenance services, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting activities. This role is ideal for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong financial systems experience. Permanent role with Hybrid working - 3 days onsite in Offaly, 2 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities of Finance Analyst:
1. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
2. Prepare monthly management accounts, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
3. Conduct variance analysis and provide performance commentary.
4. Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations, tax accounts, and intercompany transactions.
5. Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy in Sage 50.
6. Support Finance automation projects to improve efficiency.
7. Maintain the fixed asset register and record capital expenditure.
8. Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
9. Use Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and reporting.
10. Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
11. Prepare and file tax returns.
Key Requirements of Finance Analyst:
1. Part-qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
2. Experience in a finance analyst or accounting role.
3. Strong Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel skills.
4. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Knowledge of financial reporting standards desirable.
