Claims Handler - Motor
Key roles
This position is within the Motor Division and will include both the desk-top administration, investigation, and negotiation of a portfolio of motor claims and the handling of complaints, on behalf of a key motor client.
Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)
1. Proactive end to end management of a portfolio of 150+ motor and casualty files with specific closure and quality targets
2. Previous complaint handling experience would be advantageous together with familiarity of the CPC requirements.
3. Desktop Liability investigation and determination
4. Proactive investigation and settlement of claims in expedient and compliant manner
5. Management of suppliers/vendors
6. Provide an excellent customer service to our client
7. Work as part of a team, liaising with the client and other departments
8. Represent the business in a professional and positive manner at all times
9. Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needs
10. Be flexible with time and willing to get involved in other areas of the business as requested by management, including travelling to other locations if necessary
Qualifications/skills
11. APA qualification in insurance
12. Experience handling motor and/or casualty claims is essential
13. Decision making skills and sound numeric skills required
14. High level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
15. Experience working in a dynamic environment
16. General insurance background a distinct advantage
17. Highly motivated, proactive and with excellent influential skills to influence both internally and externally
18. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
19. Problem solving ability
20. Customer orientated and displays a willingness to meet and understand customer’s needs
21. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy
22. Possess excellent negotiating skills
Experience
23. Minimum 2- 3 years Motor/Casualty Claims handling experience essential.
