We have a new opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join a leading building contractor based in the West of Ireland.
This role is primarily an office based position with the opportunity to work from their base in Galway or Sligo.
Occasional travel to sites will be required.

The successful person will work alongside experienced professionals and they will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and on-site staff to ensure efficient project execution.
3. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation such as drawings, permits, contracts, and change orders.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
5. Cost Control: Monitor project costs, track expenses, and help to identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects meet high-quality standards, including compliance with building codes and industry regulations.
7. Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.
8. Problem Solving: Assist in resolving issues that arise during project execution, such as delays, conflicts, or unexpected challenges.
9. Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols and practices.
10. Client Communication: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
Qualifications:
11. Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
12. Experience working in the construction sector post-graduation in a related field is an advantage, but not essential.
13. Full driver’s licence.
14. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
15. Excellent attention to detail.
16. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work effectively under own initiative and as part of a team.
