Job Description:
The Stores Supervisor will oversee the development and implementation of efficient stores/stock control processes to ensure the smooth flow of parts and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage stores/stock control processes on the ERP system, including creating detailed work instructions.
* Establish and organise store and bin locations.
* Update the ERP system with stock movements and maintain accurate records.
* Perform inspections of parts against purchase orders and engineering drawings.
* Create assembly kits for line feeding and manage Kanban bins for production consumables.
* Conduct inventory counts, issue parts to production, and monitor inventory through FIFO practices.
* Document and perform weekly visual racking inspections.
* Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams on returns and ensure quality compliance.
* Provide leadership and support to other business functions, prioritising health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
Person Specification:
* Essential Experience: Proven experience setting up store and bin locations, Kanban supply systems, and assembly kitting for line feeding.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Technical Skills: Forklift Truck operation (B1 license required; B2 license desirable).
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred).
* Proficiency with inspection equipment (e.g., Verniers, height gauges) and reading technical drawings.
* Competence with the MS Office suite and racking inspection procedures (desirable).
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break).
