As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and skilled Solicitor to join our dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our commercial operations, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risk.
Role Overview:
As in-house Solicitor, you will provide legal support on a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring the company's interests are protected while facilitating smooth business operations.
This role will involve close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, making it a pivotal position within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, amendments to terms and conditions of third-party service provider and other vendor agreements.
Advising on and managing a wide range of legal issues including commercial and regulatory matters.
Evaluate and weighing up multiple inputs/impacts of decisions/courses of action and identifying proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
Ensure all agreements meet Financial Service regulations, as well as General Data Protection Regulations Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
Strong experience in commercial contract law, ideally with exposure to the Financial Services, Payments or Credit Union industry.
Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues in the payments industry an advantage.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Knowledge of and experience of General Data Protection Regulations and Outsourcing Obligations for Regulated Firms would be an advantage.
