We are looking for smart engineers with proven experience in building, operating, and supporting private cloud technologies using tools like OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Hashicorp Vault. We love candidates who are inventive Linux enthusiasts and want to make a difference in how we operate.
As part of our Cloud Systems team, you will be a critical part of enabling a leading international e-commerce business to succeed. You will collaborate with others who are as passionate as you are about leveraging open-source technology to solve interesting problems and providing solutions that are scalable, secure, reliable, and performant.
Required Skills:
1. Fluency and proven expertise with Linux/Unix
2. Experience building and operating OpenStack private clouds, including expertise in Keystone, Nova, Ceph, Neutron, Kolla, Cinder, Glance, RabbitMQ, and clustered MySQL using Galera
3. Experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters, including expertise in kubeadm, ArgoRollouts, ArgoCD, Cilium (for network egress enforcement)
Additional Desired Experience:
1. Hashicorp vault administration
2. Stackstorm administration
3. NetApp Trident storage for Kubernetes
4. Postgres
5. Python scripting
6. GCP (or other enterprise Cloud services AWS/Azure)
7. PGO (Kubernetes Postgres Operator)
Education:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline plus 5+ years of experience or any combination of education and/or experience is required.
Certifications:
Prefer RedHat Certified Engineer credential (or similar). Redhat Certified Architect credential (or similar) preferred. Other useful certifications include OpenStack from RedHat, Mirantis, or similar organization.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping, and reaching are also frequently required.
