Job Description: E&I Construction Lead
The E&I Construction Lead is a senior member of the Construction Team, responsible for the proper and timely construction of the E&I Scope in accordance with The Company's Safety and Quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Pre-Construction: Detailed review and liaison with design and client workgroup leads, model reviews.
* Constructability Reviews: Prepare and lead constructability reviews.
* Detailed SOWs: Prepare detailed Statements of Work for trade contract procurement.
* BOQs: Assist in preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities.
* E&I Bids: Review returned E&I bids and prepare Tender Boards Arrangements.
* Trade Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the construction industry.
* Execution Strategies: Develop detailed execution strategies.
* CHSP, QA/TO: Input into CHSP, QA/TO and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
* Schedule Development: Assist in schedule development and schedule reviews.
* IAPs: Lead Incident Action Plans.
The E&I Construction Lead will also provide input for the development of the E&I construction department, including improving execution procedures, liaising with the E&I Design department leads, and managing and developing E&I construction resources across the project.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
* Subcontract Management: Ensures that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
* Safety, Schedule, Cost and Quality: Subcontract management shall be your main deliverable.
* Site Execution SOPs: Develops best-in-class site execution Standard Operating Procedures as guidance to the Field Supervisors.
* System Turnovers: Engages with the Design, Commissioning and Client teams throughout the project to ensure system turnovers are achieved to scheduled milestones.
* Jacobs Construction Methods: Complies with the Jacobs construction methods, procedures and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to safety, quality assurance, personnel and industrial relations.
* Statutory Requirements: Ensures that the applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed.
* Health and Safety Act: Understands the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations as they affect the responsibilities of employees.
* Industry Developments: Keeps abreast of developments in the construction industry and assists in ensuring that The Company's capability continues to develop and excel.
* Project Delivery: Ensures that the projects are constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
* Staff Management: Directs and controls the activities of the assigned staff and their functions.
* Contractor Assessments: Carries out assessments and appraisals of the contractors works and reports the results in accordance with The Company's practice.
* Technology Utilisation: Ensure The Company are utilising the best technology available and ensuring innovative ideas are encouraged.
* Lessions Learned: Ensuring lessons learned on projects are recorded and shared.
* Progress Reports: Reviews contractor progress reports and provides input to weekly CM report out to Client.
* Construction Works: Manage construction works from pre-construction to system turnover.
* Quality Plan: Ensures that the criteria as set out in the Quality plan are adhered to.
* Supervisor Training: Determines the needs for supervisor training for proper execution of the project under construction and makes recommendations accordingly.
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in E&I Engineering or similar.
* Significant years experience in a similar role.
* Biotech/Pharma knowledge.
* Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills.
