Job Title: ICT Infrastructure Specialist
Job Description
Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities to support and monitor the operation of the Site Information and Communication systems infrastructure.
As a member of the IT Team, the ICT Infrastructure Specialist will work closely with IT colleagues and 3rd Party IT Support Vendors to provide operational and project support for all IT infrastructure on the Swords site.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure any Changes to IT systems are implemented in compliance with site Change Control Procedures and Security Standards
* Work with Managed Service Partners, Vendors and site stakeholders to manage Lifecycle of Site IT Infrastructure, to ensure infrastructure remains reliable and fit for purpose in supporting site operations.
* Act as site point of contact and hands and eyes for initial troubleshooting of issues with the remote Support teams of our 3rd Party Service Partners for Server Hosting, Network and Print Services.
* Manage site IT cabling, patching and wall port infrastructure (Fibre, LAN).
* Monitor and support site communications systems, triage issues and liaise with Support Vendors as necessary to resolve.
System administration responsibilities include:
* Avaya SIP Telephone System and associated handsets
* Lone Worker/Man Down System comprising Atex Mobile Phones (Android), Mobile Repeater infrastructure and Bluetooth beacons
* A/V equipment in 12 Conference Rooms, including Flatscreen TVs, Projectors and cameras, audio equipment and touch panels used in Teams Rooms
* Sigma two-way Radio System for ERT
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will also be responsible for system security and hardware maintenance and configuration in compliance with site and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good problem solving techniques regarding fault finding and troubleshooting system related issues and must have strong communication skills.
The ability to operate within and consistently achieve deadlines associated with a highly automated 24/7 Manufacturing facility is key.
Requirements:
* Degree level qualification in a relevant IT, engineering or similar technical discipline
* Minimum 3 years experience of IT system support
* Experience of working in a GMP regulated environment is desirable
A good working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, Server Virtualisation and communication systems is expected.
