The Naas Pizza site is part of the Nomad Foods Group. The business operates two manufacturing sites in Ireland (Naas and Longford) employing approximately 450 FTEs and producing c. 50k tons of Pizzas annually, predominantly under the Goodfella’s and San Marco brands. BEP also produces own label Pizza for many retailers in both the UK and Ireland.
The Role
The core responsibility of the Quality Assurance Supervisor role is to lead the achievement of Technical standard on site and contribute to the overall operational performance of the plant. The role will report directly to the Site Quality Manager and will work closely with the relevant support functions e.g. Engineering, Operations, HR, Health & Safety, New product development. The job holder will be a key member of the sites Technical Team.
This successful individual will be value driven with a proven track record in managing activities within a production environment through the resources available to them.
Responsibilities:
1. Quality Standards - Plant BRC Score. BRC accreditation is essential to ensure that the Business can continue to supply products to Customers. Target BRC score is ‘A’ with BRC standard expected daily. Using the system to audit the plant against the BRC global standard for food safety on an ongoing basis.
2. Ensure the Food Safety HACCP plan is adhered to at all times within the entire plant therefore ensuring safe product is released every time. No product recalls or withdrawals are permitted.
3. An overall Product Quality score of 100% every day through following procedures and processes.
4. Ensure Customer Satisfaction through addressing customer feedback.
5. Running Internal Audits.
6. Documentation Control, including compliance.
7. General Health and Safety activity.
About You
1. Experience in a position of responsibility within a quality related function in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
2. BRC Standards and Customer codes of practice.
3. Good Interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to proactively identify potential problems, identify solutions, evaluate these and implement in a timely manner.
5. Communication skill.
6. IT skills of SAP desirable.
7. Process/system development.
8. Planning/organising.
