Maintenance Manager
Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a Dublin-based client. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role involves hands-on management in a dynamic and fast-paced FMCG/Heavy environment.
The day-to-day management of the Maintenance Team includes shift technicians, maintenance planners, and preventative maintenance resources.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Performance of Maintenance Team and asset uptime.
* Planning, organising, directing, and controlling day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Team to meet defined company, plant, and engineering objectives.
* Ensuring effective follow-up to all maintenance-related issues.
* Interface with all 3rd-party support contracts.
* Operation of Time Management System for all Maintenance personnel.
* Providing guidance and hand-on assistance on technical issues.
* Developing and driving a 5-year site Maintenance Improvement Plan to ensure performance improvements within the Maintenance Team.
* Ensuring all engineering work and contracts are carried out to appropriate engineering and food-safe standards.
* Ensuring all current Environmental Health and Safety Standards and Legislation are met.
* Maintenance and management of all site engineering systems including calibrations, preventative maintenance activities, and KPI indicators.
* Reporting on Maintenance Team performance.
* Leading the Maintenance Team in development and continuous improvement to ensure all Maintenance KPIs are met.
Skills & Qualification:
* A trade or degree qualification in engineering and/or maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years' experience gained in a dynamic plant environment.
* Experience in facilities/utilities management, automation systems, and projects.
* Experience of managing engineers at all levels along with cross-functional teams.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Must be well-organised in approach to work and disciplined in the evaluation of priorities and reaction to same.
* Must be able to thrive in an environment where there can be simultaneously many number one priority.
