The Role
As Conference & Banqueting Manager, you hold a crucial position that contributes significantly to the hotel's success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage conference and banqueting facilities to maximize client experience through effective planning and delivery of services.
* Collaborate with sales to understand event requirements and preferences.
* Plan and coordinate conferences, banquets, and events, including meeting space, catering, audio-visual equipment, and decor.
* Act as main point of contact for clients throughout event execution phases.
* Ensure professional handling of queries/requests to deliver faultless client experience.
* Obtain timely feedback to analyze delivery quality.
* Oversee and manage banquet and event staff.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for C&B department.
* Maximize revenue and profitability from all market segments.
* Effectively manage conference/event enquiries, databases, reports, and site inspections.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the department.
* Manage wage costs and staffing in line with targets/budgets set by GM.
* Cultivate creativity in analyzing the wedding market and engaging new wedding additions from the hotel.
