Associate Director of Network Contracting

As an Associate Director of Network Contracting, you will be responsible for identifying and developing strategies that leverage the full breadth of Optum assets to solve healthcare's biggest challenges in pharmacy services.

About the Role:
We are seeking a curious and self-motivated individual with experience in negotiation and value-based contract management. The successful candidate will have strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment to deliver financial goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Lead negotiations with pharmacies in the US to drive optimal value and mitigate risk.
* Facilitate contract strategy for value-based agreements and innovative partnership strategies.
* Evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with client contracts, reimbursement structures, and other key process controls.
* Analyze network and provider performance to determine which programs to implement or modify.
* Monitor provider financial performance to identify opportunities to improve performance and the provider relationship.
* Collaborate with internal partners to ensure ongoing execution of processes are in line with contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent (finance/ legal preferred).
* Value Based Contract Experience, with a focus on negotiation.
* Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven experience in financial modeling & development of product pricing.
* Experience in strategic and business development roles, ideally in related industry (Pharmacy Benefit Management, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, etc.).
