The Carlow Nationalist is part of the Nationalist group of newspapers which includes the Kildare Nationalist and the Laois Nationalist. Founded in 1883, our newspaper is part of The Irish Times Group. It is the only paid-for newspaper dedicated to the villages, towns, and county of Carlow. Our website is updated throughout the day to ensure that the people of Co Carlow or people interested in our county are kept up to date with all the relevant news. Our print edition is published each Tuesday providing a full range of news including courts, councils, and community reporting across the entire county, highlighting what is good about our county, reporting the concerns of the people of Carlow, and being one of Carlow's biggest campaigners and supporters.
Job Description
The Carlow Nationalist offers a wide range of advertising solutions to local and national advertisers across print and digital including display advertising, family notices, regular sections like property, motoring, and entertainment, offering highly competitive advertising rates for advertisers.
The Advertising Sales Executive Role Involves
1. Selling advertising and providing marketing solutions to a wide range of clients for our print and online platforms.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with business owners and key client managers.
3. Developing sales pitches to new and existing customers.
Candidates should preferably have some experience in a sales, customer service or marketing role (not necessarily in a media environment).
The position is located in our Carlow office and will operate as a hybrid role of office/outdoor/work from home. Full driving licence essential.

1. Proven track record in sales or retail environment.
2. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
3. Ability to create and build a network of contacts.
