About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of a large-scale residential development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the engineering team on-site, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.
* Manage the site set-out, survey, and coordination of engineering activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with design, specifications, and contract requirements.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure quality standards are met.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor the project's progress and address any issues or risks that may arise.
* Oversee the quality control processes, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, tracking progress and providing regular updates to senior management.
* Assist in the coordination of resources, including materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring they are available and properly utilised to maintain the project schedule.
* Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and contractors.
* Liaise with the design team, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and make any necessary adjustments to the design.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality assurance documentation.
* Support the Project Manager in managing project documentation, including contracts, variations, and change orders.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* At least 5-7 years of experience as a Site Engineer, with a proven track record in large-scale residential projects.
* Experience managing or coordinating teams on large, complex construction projects, particularly in the residential sector.
* Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, engineering design, and quality control.
* Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple aspects of the project simultaneously.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and their implementation on-site.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management and engineering software, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
* A proactive, detail-oriented, and organised approach to project management.
