Conference & Banqueting Manager Salary: €38k + Bonus Location: Laois Duties & Responsibilities: The overall success and operation of the Banqueting and Events department.
Assisting your team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth Be collaborative and creative in thinking of ways to convert potential business with unique and exciting ideas Demonstrating leadership by inspiring your team to accomplish daily goals and targets and developing their skills in luxury hotel environment Ensuring our colleagues are nurtured and challenged within their roles to ensure peak performance Ensuring a highly effective operation to create and deliver memorable experiences, maximising revenue and profitability across all areas in line with budget expectations Running the operation and be responsible for taking the event from coordination through to final execution Candidate: Have experience within a similar role in 4 or 5 star hotels Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands on role in order to identify and support colleagues on all levels Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service Be fluent in spoken and written English Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with high expectation guests Have experience of running high volume weddings and events in a luxury environment Be commercially astute and have solid financial awareness Experience in a 4* luxury or 5* property is desirable.
