Our client is a large FMCG entity in Sligo seeking a Management Accountant for one of its divisions in a supportive team to manage 4 finance staff and reporting to the Financial Controller.
Location: Hybrid / Sligo, Co. Sligo, Ireland
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
Salary: Negotiable Salary - DOE - likely 60/65k + 10% bonus and benefits
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of Finance Team with an emphasis on Inventory and Credit Control together with managing all aspects of the AR function
2. Prepare monthly Management Accounts inputs and relevant supporting schedules for review
3. Management of Bank, Cash & Inventory Reconciliations
4. Provide monthly progress reports on Capex projects, including ensuring delivery on time and within approved budget
5. Forecasting monthly Cash flows for the business unit
6. Provision of key metrics to Senior Management Team
7. Partner with the Management Team to assure achievement of the overall business unit objectives, including analysing data to initiate improvements and cost savings
8. Drive continuous improvement by identifying & improving any inefficiencies in processes
9. Continuous management of Master Data within the ERP system & working closely with the Financial Controller on the implementation of the ERP system upgrade
10. Completion of Revenue & CSO returns monthly
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified ACA with a minimum 18 months post-qualified experience
2. Excellent technical accounting capabilities and strong systems experience
3. Proven record of managing a finance/administration team
4. Strong knowledge and aptitude of MS Office applications
5. Ability to plan, organise & prioritise work in a FMCG environment
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. A flexible, dynamic approach with an ability to operate independently as well as part of a team
8. Full driving license
