Your new company is a leading Engineering Services Supplier with a strong presence in the Irish med-tech sphere. We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be based at a leading Medical Device client-site in the Cork city area.
About Your New Role
* Monitor and improve line performance by implementing structured event plans to address systemic issues.
* Develop and implement supporting documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Lead technical improvements under the Continuous Improvement Program.
* Transfer and implement processes from development or other manufacturing facilities.
* Provide technical guidance and leadership for Process/Maintenance Technicians and other Manufacturing/Equipment Engineers.
* Support new product and process introductions, ensuring compliance with New Product Development Process.
* Conduct process validation, including VP, IQ, OQ, PQ, and associated documentation.
* Pilot Gauge R&R studies for products and new processes.
* Maintain Quality Management Systems requirements on site.
* Monitor and report variables that impact business performance metrics, identifying and resolving deficits.
* Enforce all Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site.
* Eliminate and manage material risks on the production floor with Supplier Quality engineers.
Requirements for Success
* A Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
* Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business-critical projects.
* 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with Transfer & Validation of CNC Machining Processes.
* Experience with Transfer & Validation of Shot Peening Processes.
* Experience with Development & Transfer into Production of NPI (CNC Machining, Clean & Pack).
* Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* A team player with a flexible approach.
