WE ARE HIRING FOR A RESERVATIONS AGENT AT THE GLASSHOUSE HOTEL!
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team. As the first point of contact for guests, you'll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming first impression - primarily over the phone. You'll handle bookings with efficiency and care, providing expert knowledge on our rooms and services, while confidently upselling to enhance customer experiences. Located along the beautiful Garavogue river, our 116 beautifully designed bedrooms and a dedicated team of 130 staff take pride in creating a friendly and memorable stay for every guest.
The Role
This is an exciting full-time role that reports to the Reservations Manager, working Mon-Fri with weekly shifts from 8.30am to 5pm or 10.30am to 6pm. Some flexibility with alternating Saturdays and bank holidays is required. You will also be working alongside the Reservations Supervisor, Sales, Finance, and Front Office Teams.
Key responsibilities
1. Handling daily reservation enquiries and converting bookings across phone, email, and third-party platforms with confidence and professionalism.
2. Selling rooms, maximizing occupancy, and identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience and grow revenue.
3. Demonstrating an excellent telephone manner and strong computer literacy, paying attention to details, ensuring clear communication and efficient processes.
4. Delivering a seamless and efficient reservation experience for every guest, ensuring a warm and welcoming first impression.
5. Building strong relationships with key bookers and corporate clients.
6. Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sales & Reservations office.
7. Accurately managing all reservations, including conference and group bookings, and coordinating effectively with relevant hotel departments.
8. Collaborating with the Accounts and Reception teams to ensure a consistent approach to customer service.
How will you stand out from the crowd
1. If you are currently working in a hotel reservation's role.
2. Experience of using Hotspot or other Property Management System, although training will be provided.
3. Background in hospitality or customer care.
4. Interest in Revenue Management and career advancement in this field.
