Reporting to an ACCA qualified accountant, this role will also suit candidates looking to complete ACCA/CIMA exams.
Role Description
Responsibilities include:
1. Accounts Receivable transaction processing, including daily receipts, credit control, issuing monthly statements, and resolving customer queries in a timely manner.
2. Reconciliation of all debtors monthly, being proactive in your approach.
3. Accounts Payable duties, including processing supplier invoices and monthly expenses, reconciling all supplier statements, and preparation of monthly payments in accordance with agreed credit terms.
4. Preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts for the management team and weekly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
5. Assisting with stock management and stock take.
6. Responsibility for couriers and deliveries.
7. General reception duties.
8. Preparation of VAT, VIES, PAYE, and other relevant returns.
9. Monthly Intrastat and Revenue reporting.
10. Working closely with and supporting the management team.
11. Other ad hoc reports and general office duties as requested.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
1. Excellent numeracy skills.
2. Accounts Technician qualification or working towards a professional accounting qualification, or hold a suitable Finance/Business third-level qualification.
3. Minimum 2 years of accounts experience in an accounts function is essential.
4. Availability 5 days per week on a permanent basis.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Fluency in written and spoken English.
7. The ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
8. Strong IT skills with proven application of MS Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
9. Good time management skills.
10. The ability to plan and control workloads and work in an orderly manner (filing, etc.).
11. Knowledge of Sage or some other financial system preferred.
This role reports to an ACCA qualified accountant and will suit part-qualified candidates looking to complete ACCA/CIMA exams.
