DescriptionProvision of planned and reactive maintenance support to the various engineering systems and equipment assigned in line with key performance indicators to facilitate the successful operation of Terminal & Campus Buildings.Responsibilities
Full ownership for the performance of the engineering systems & equipment assigned to the individual & work group. With key emphasis on consistently achieving delivery of the CAR QoS measures.
Accurate reporting & incident reporting utilising all systems available including an effective shift handover procedure and end of shift report.
In conjunction with planning team, full use of CMMS for the scheduling, generation and recording of all planned, reactive, and corrective works. Including recording of timecards, escalations, and completion of the appropriate workflows, with the aim of analysing & improving performance of the system’s reliability and AM processes.
Act as a point of contact and decision maker for handover/escalation of technical issues arising on a shift basis including escalation to, and onsite management of specialist support contractors.
Actively work to identify Technical continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in development of P2W, RAMS and emergency safety documentation as and when required.
Carry out continuous professional development to be in position to provide technical training to the wider team.
Active promotion of health and safety and safe working practices across the team and contractors.
Ensure safe and competent operation of engineering related equipment across the team, e.g. scaffold builds, MEWP operation and checks, lifting equipment, forklift, etc.
Develop and carry out technical toolbox talks to support operational activities.
Use of technologies including mobile technologies. e.g. phones, tablets, laptops, PDA and ensuring system compliance across the team.
Support continued compliance with Dublin Airport Asset Management Standards, e.g. ISO55001/50001/45001 etc.
Demonstrate flexibility in terms of hours of work, shift patterns, out of hours call ins, remote technical support, and modern multi-skilling work practices.
QualificationsExperience
6 years’ plus overall experience in a technical role with demonstrable experience working on technical specialist systems.
Experience in the following systems: Automation, Building Service Systems (mech and/or Elec, Life safety, HVAC, security, public health systems etc.)
Experience of industrial automated control systems technology advantageous (Plc’s, variable speed drives, scada, network comms, motor control etc).
Excellent practical demonstrable fault finding and trouble-shooting capability.

Strong operational awareness with the ability to analyse, evaluate and prioritise situations.
A broad technical understanding of the various asset types within an international Airport Environment.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail including scheduling, planning and time management.
Good interpersonal skills and a motivated leader, capable of working both collaboratively and independently.

Practical, logical aptitude for electrical & mechanical systems maintenance.
Education & Qualifications
Relevant technical qualification (National Craft Certificate/Standards Based Apprenticeship) in mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent; or
3rd Level Degree in a relevant discipline
