Overview
We are expanding our Mechanical Engineering team to meet the demands of new projects.
Senior Mechanical Engineers with experience in Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Food and Beverage projects are highly sought after. This role will involve working on various stages of project development, from conceptual design through to detailed design, commissioning and qualification.
The position is based at our Cork office and offers a hybrid/flexible work policy.
Responsibilities
* Ownership of equipment modules and packages throughout the design and procurement phases.
* Generating Data Sheets, Material Requisitions & Enquiry Packages for equipment procurement.
* Evaluation of vendors according to client specifications.
* Developing Technical Specifications in compliance with client requirements.
* Project management of suppliers to ensure packages are designed, manufactured, and tested as per project requirements.
* Interfacing with clients, vendors, client project management, and other disciplines to provide exceptional service.
* Mechanical optimization and site support.
* Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule.
This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
You may have the opportunity to progress to Lead Mechanical Engineer on larger projects or become a Subject Matter Expert in your area.
In addition, you can mentor and coach junior team members in the Mechanical Department, many of whom participate in our award-winning Graduate Programme.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant equivalent).
* Significant design experience in Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors.
* Ability to coordinate and lead others.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Openness to travel to equipment manufacturing locations.
