The primary role is to ensure the efficient operation of the stores area, ensuring materials are stored in correct locations and all records are updated and entered in the KAON Automation material handling software.
The role is stores-based and the job holder’s primary duties include:
* Check quantities and quality
* Record deliveries on the system
* Store all materials by project or in designated general stock area
* Management of physical stock movements, ensuring systems reflect all movements:
o Allocate stock
o Return goods into stock
o Run and analyse re-ordering reports
o Conduct stock counts:
+ Review discrepancies and make changes
+ Resolve issues with suppliers with support from Procurement
+ Address invoicing queries related to the delivery of materials.
+ Update and maintain suppliers rework worksheet
* Work request, delivery method & receiving of goods
* Logistics responsibilities with support from Procurement:
o Shipping quotes
o Packing of machines / outgoing materials
o Liaise with hauliers/couriers for the collection/delivery of goods
o Keep the stores area organised, clean and tidy
o Ad hoc tasks as outlined by the Operations Manager
Minimum requirements include:
* Prior experience in a warehousing or store environment is not necessary but an advantage
* Ability to work on own initiative and must be proactive
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Common sense approach with attention to detail
* IT familiarity; experience using Microsoft Excel and Sage is an advantage
* Interest in mechanics and/or machinery is an advantage
